Magrathea by Ten Yard Star Magrathea (aka Maggie) is a 1992 Bay mare 16.0 hh by Ten Yard Star xx out of an Amish bred mare of undetermined breeding. Maggie carries a great combination of Thoroughbred bloodlines. The lines go back to five of the eight Thoroughbred sire lines of international jumpers documented by P.H. Birdsall, DVM. Her bloodlines include Rock Sand, Bay Ronald, Marco, Blenheim II, Teddy and the French Greys. Her sire side pedigree is below. She is sweet tempered, friendly and a wonderful mother. She also can jump when she feels the need. As a weanling she jumped a 5-foot gate to join her buddy who had been removed from the paddock they shared. When we brought her home as a yearling she promptly jumped a 4-1/2 foot fence. Maggie is producing very correct, solid youngsters with good attitudes, athleticism and movement. Our wonderful Maggie consistently produces foals with exceptional temperaments and conformation as shown below:
